    Hiragana & katakana charts

    Below are two kana charts for reference while learning Japanese.

    You might find it helpful to have these open while getting started with your studies!

    The kana on the left of a given box is hiragana, and the right is katakana. 

    As a concrete example, the top left box of each chart has an あ and ア. 

    あ is hiragana, ア is katakana.
