    Inferring others' behaviors with のことだから

    The pattern Nのことだから knowing NOUN; since it's NOUN can be used when stating or implying that some sort of behavior can be inferred.

    Usually the noun will refer to a person known by both the speaker and the listener.

    English translations of sentences with Nのことだから will often include the word "knowing", like this:

    You and your friend are planning a surprise party for your friend Jung-ah. You're talking about the possibility that she'll figure it out.

    When you are ending the sentence with Nのことだから, the から part gets dropped:
