What are Daily Badges and Days Studied?

Every day you log in and study with NativShark, your Days Studied will go up by one.

You will earn you Days Studied Badges at given intervals throughout your studies based on your Days Studied number.

These are nice to share in the community in the #learning-progress channel!

    Days Studied

Whenever you do your studies on NativShark, your Days Studied will go up by one.

Getting a +1 on your Days Studied only requires doing a minimum of 5 review flashcards* or completing your reviews. Whichever is smaller.

Note that this is not a study streak. You can take a break when you need to, and your Days Studied will never reset on you.

Not studying a day doesn't mean you've ruined your progress, should feel bad, and need to restart from 0. It just means you didn't study that day. ^^

*If you have no reviews due, opening a new Unit will also update your Days Studied. Note you do not have to complete that Unit.

    Days Studied Badges

Different badges can be earned the more days you study. These badges show up on your My Journey page. Here's an example of one:

Everyone starts with an unlit match:

    Exciting^^

After studying for a day, your match will be lit:

Study for 3 days, and you'll move that flame over to a candle:

Studying for a whole 7 days buys you an oil lamp to replace your candle:

28 days of study means you're ready to carry this torch to your next goodie:

Get your Days Studied up to 60 days, and you're ready to start your kindling fire:

After 166 days, or the amount of time it takes a student who does one Unit a day to complete Phase One, and you'll notice your kindling fire is now a comfy campfire:

A full 365 days of study turns your campfire into a bonfire. Very cozy. Very toasty:

At day 550, or a year and a half, your toasty bonfire turns into a toasty volcano:

Half a year later, you're relaxing on your volcano when you see a comet in the sky. That is the comet that you earned for reaching 730 days, or two full years. That’s no small feat. You should be proud of yourself:

Another year later, your comet reaches the sun and melts into it. You've studied for a total of 1,095 days, or 3 years. Feel free to stare at the sun on your screen. Can't recommend doing so with the real-life version, even with sunglasses:

1,460 days in, four years, your sun turns into a supernova. You kept up your studies for so long that you out-studied the lifespan of your sun. Impressive.

Don't worry about the logistics of the sun becoming a supernova 🤣:

2,920 days, or eight years, your supernova moves onto the next phase of its life and turns into a black hole.

We knew you really absorbed information, but enough to spawn a black hole? With dedication of this level, there's nothing you can't do:
